Inspired by the everyday moments of social misalignment—a wave returned to the wrong person, a handshake met by a fist bump, an advertisement that interrupts your teaching—Awkward explores the humor and discomfort embedded in human interaction. Through choreography, improvisation, and comedy, the work embraces embarrassment not as a failure, but as a shared experience. Oscillating between the ridiculous and the painfully familiar, the piece invites audiences to laugh, cringe, and recognize themselves in the awkwardness of being human.
